Job Description

Manpower Professional, a leading consulting firm, is currently recruiting for a Senior C# Developer to add their expertise to our client's team. This opportunity will allow the successful applicant to work with a great team and further develop their background and expertise.
Primary Responsibilities
Participate as a member of a software development team to design and develop a large distributed application that is being developed within the .Net framework.
Qualifications
  8+ years experience using an object-oriented language such as C#, C++, or Java.
  2+ years experience with C#
  Development experience with Canada Post's Retail Point of Sale System (ROSS)
  In-depth knowledge of system development lifecycle principles and object oriented programming.
  Experience with iterative / agile development methodologies
  Demonstrated track record of being able to design and develop software for scalability and performance
  Effective written and verbal communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
  Expertise in developing high-level and detail design specifications (UML)
  Bachelor's Degree (CS or MIS Preferred) or equivalent experience
  Ability to work with minimal supervision and effectively prioritize workload
Nice to have skills
  Experience with porting visual basic code to C# is a definite plus
  Retail point of sale experience
