Overview:
Bridgewater Systems is seeking Software Designers to join our Policy Control Team. We’re building the next generation of Bridgewater’s Policy Control products, and we need your help. If you have a background in developing carrier grade software, value working in a strong team, have a positive attitude and are motivated by the opportunity to work in a rapidly changing and growing environment then we’d like to hear from you.

Responsibilities:
Design and develop software for Bridgewater’s Policy Control products, contributing in all phases of the software lifecycle:

Contribute to and review functional specifications for new features

Contribute to and review feature designs

Code, unit test and integration test new features

Work with our Product Verification and Quality Assurance teams to resolve defects

Work with our support team to help resolve issues in the field

Report regularly on project status

Propose and follow through with improvements in software design, processes and tools

Qualifications:
Experience in object-oriented design and programming in C++ and/or Java, preferably on UNIX

Experience designing and developing high performance carrier-grade systems

Knowledge of TCP, UDP and other higher level network and internet protocols (e.g. HTTP, RADIUS, DIAMETER)

Ability to operate effectively under pressure and tight schedules

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Math
